The test programs need to be run from the shell, after the driver is installed.  They can be used before the boot settings file is installed.  To use the a shell must be opened, the program to be run then can be dragged and dropped on the shell window to enter the command or it can be entered manually.

testamd
testamd and it simply reports the current status of your cpu.  Which mtrrs are used, what features your cpu supports etc.  It should be run before you run setamd to see the settings before any changes are made.  It should also be run after setamd to ensure that the changes made by setamd worked.

setamd
setamd is used to change various settings, it is interactive and only provides access to available cpu settings.

If BeOS crashes after changing any setting, then don't set that option in the boot settings file.
